Default Donald Trump Addressed Congress 2/28/17

A friend of mine posted this on FB. I've asked his permission to repost here.

Having served in the US armed forces, I understand that military personnel can be thrust into harms way at anytime. I was lucky, but many have died for their country as they served. During the Presidents speech to Congress, Trump had a war widow stand to represent all war widows of our nation and receive the love and gratitude of Congress for the ultimate sacrifices that have been made for our country. As many applauded this young lady it was sad to see Nancy Pelosi, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Bernie Sanders and several other Democrats remain seated and refuse to acknowledge the loss and grief that this young lady is suffering through. How cold and callous are these Democrats to those who suffer such grief from losing a loved one in combat. I know Trump has his rough edges, but I see our nation made the correct choice on Election Day when they picked a President who honors our men and women in uniform. May God protect us from the "liberals" who only seek to destroy our nation, our Constitution and our unborn children.

Incredible Speech. I was all in watching it. Another good speech was Trump address on the Gerald R Ford. He paid homage to our military and the US Navy in particular. It so happened it was the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Midway.

Here is a link to the speech for anyone who so desires.

I've heard some folks complaining bitterly that this was "grandstanding", using a poor widow in an attempt to enhance his image. Okay, it didn't hurt him PR-wise, but I don't believe that was why he did it; rather, it was in complete accord with his oft expressed feelings of gratitude and admiration for our military. Therefore I say, "Bravo Zulu, Mr. President!"

To the loonie left naysayers I can only say ... "Take a flying **** at a galloping goose!"
