Would love to know more about this if anyone is in the know ....

Vietnam sniper crawled for 3 days, 2000 meters through open field killed NVA General and crawed back without being seen. Awesome job.

That was Carlos Hathcock, called White Feather by the Cong and NVA - he had a pigeon feather habitually shoved in the foliage band of his boonie hat. He died a few years back; 1999 I believe.

While he was no question one heck of a sniper, there are some who believe he, shall we say, stretched the accounts of his exploits just a bit. The fact that he often worked alone rather than as part of a team made independent verification of the details of many of his missions impossible. However, all of the kills he claimed were confirmed.

I'll see if I can find any from way back then. Mine are mostly of the Philippines, Subic Bay and Olongapo City.
